NT to offer cut-price international VoIP callsNepalese incumbent, Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (Nepal Telecom, or NT), has revealed it plans to launch a voice-over-IP international calls service starting 1 June 2010. The new service will be accessible to customers with a PSTN line, or to users of CDMA fixed-wireless and post-paid GSM services via the access code '1424', it said. NT hopes its new service will provide its customers with convenient and cost effective international voice call services. Rates for calls to Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Thailand and US are priced at NPR4 (USD0.05395) per minute. |
